The CAWT is changing! (sort of).
To better reflect the work that we do, the Centre for Alternative Wastewater Treatment is changing its name to the
Centre for Advancement of Water and Wastewater Technologies
but you can still call us the CAWT.
When our doors opened 2004, the Centre for Alternative Wastewater Treatment was primarily focused on researching treatment wetland systems and phytoremediation technologies for cold climates. Our expertise in the area grew and soon involved other treatment technologies and methods. No longer focusing on just alternative technologies, in the last decade we have gained an international reputation for engaging in innovative water and wastewater applied research and offering technology development services to the private sector, governments, non-governmental agencies, and to universities.
We are excited to move forward with our new look and our new name.
